Mild panic Chez Rider with 2 days to go to holiday in France. Should have brushed up on language skills since it’s many years since ecole. Phrase books will be taken but not much good in real-time terms. Him Indoors trying to translate a ditty to sing, along the lines of ‘J’assis ici mon coeur ??? (broken) Paid un sou et seulement f….d’ but it didn’t sound quite right somehow and anyway it’s all euros now. Why is it always Rider who has to have a go … well of course it’s a man thing not to sound like a stranged Yorkshire chicken. Him Indoors is practicing the phrase for ‘I’ve just got her out for the day’. Will Rider drive en France? in deference to the hearts of Frenchmen probably not. Ask not whether Rider is ready for Doucey, ask rather is Doucey ready for Rider
