Picture a gorgeous summer day – village school sports day on the school field.. disabled older chap makes his way in his motorised buggy to an entrance he knows he can negotiate. This entrance is used by grass cutting chaps and is accessed from an estate road where residents park in the T shaped areas. A big 4 track was blocking our disabled chap’s way and he asked the young woman who owned it if she would mind moving it. She refused ….. yes that’s right …… she refused. Said chap had to negotiate along an unmade narrow pathway to get into the sports field. Whatever the rights and wrongs of where she was parked and the general question of access into school field, would you have refused to move your vehicle? The attitude of that young woman is utterly incomprehensible to Rider and one can only hope she gets a sympathy transplant one day soon. This made Rider not just mad but frankly furious.
